About Alpha Man Education
An independent guide to study methods, written to help students choose and use techniques with their eyes open.
What this site is
Alpha Man Education is an editorial guide, not a blog of tips. Each guide covers one study method or habit. It explains what the method is, when to use it, how to apply it, where it falls short and what to try next.
Students hear a lot of advice about studying. Some of it has years of research behind it. Some of it is popular but has little support. We label every guide so you can tell which is which.
Who it is for
High school and college students, adult learners, and parents or tutors who want clear, practical explanations in plain English. You do not need any background in psychology.
What you will find here
- Guides on 10 topics, from active recall and spaced repetition to time management and focus.
- Learning paths that put guides in a sensible order.
- The Study Method Finder, which suggests guides based on your goal, subject, time and challenge.
- The Study Planner, a free planner that stays in your browser.
How we work
We write original guides and base them on published educational and cognitive-science research, with references at the end of each guide. We say plainly when evidence is mixed or limited. Read the Editorial Policy and how we rate evidence for details.
What we do not do
- We do not promise better grades, guaranteed learning or results that work for everyone.
- We do not give medical, psychological or learning-disability advice. If studying is very hard for you, talk with a teacher, counselor or qualified professional.
- We do not ask you to create an account.
